Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PDF to Study Cards provides a web-based study tool that converts user-provided PDFs, notes, and transcripts into editable flashcards. The service includes generation, preview, saved decks, and export features such as CSV and Anki-compatible TSV.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be legally able to use online services and make purchases in your jurisdiction. If you use the service for a school or organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

3. User Content

You keep ownership of the files, notes, transcripts, prompts, and generated study materials you upload or create. You grant us the limited permission needed to process that content, generate flashcards, store saved decks, provide support, prevent abuse, and operate the service.

Do not upload content that you do not have the right to use, or content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, sexually explicit, or intended to abuse the platform.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

violate laws, regulations, or third-party rights;
attempt to bypass rate limits, credits, payment, or security controls;
upload malware, spam, or harmful content;
use the service for plagiarism, cheating, or submitting generated work as your own where prohibited;
resell, scrape, or overload the service without written permission.

5. AI Output

Flashcards are generated by AI and may contain mistakes, omissions, or simplifications. You are responsible for reviewing generated cards before relying on them for study, teaching, exams, or professional use.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans and one-time passes are shown on the Pricing page before checkout. Payments are processed by Creem. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. One-time passes are not subscriptions and expire according to the terms shown at purchase.

You can request subscription help through the contact email below. Access continues until the end of the paid period unless the plan terms or a refund decision state otherwise.

7. Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. We may deny refunds for consumed credits, abusive usage, violations of these terms, or requests outside the stated window.

8. Changes and Termination

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service to improve reliability, comply with law, prevent abuse, or address security issues. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, or that the generated content will meet every learning need.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDF to Study Cards will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill arising from your use of the service.
